Her background ranges from destination development and marketing to on-the-ground technical assistance and travel writing. Having lived and worked across five continents, including experiences supporting a USAID tourism project in Tunisia, a community-based non-profit in Germany, and a National Park Service project in the United States, Marissa has gained a nuanced understanding of the industry that fuels her advocacy for responsible tourism practices. Outside of her professional endeavors, she finds joy in learning languages and exploring the world as a conscious and sustainable traveler.
